Up until he turned 19, Luke believed his father was a Jedi Knight who died in the Clone Wars. This wasn’t entirely untrue, depending on how you look at it, but it wasn’t the full truth either. After all, Luke’s father, Anakin Skywalker, didn’t literally die. Which is why, when the big reveal happens in The Empire Strikes Back, Luke is shocked. So much so that he refuses to believe it.
But this always made me wonder: what if Luke had known the truth about his father from the very beginning? And even more importantly, what if Luke was never sent to live with Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru? What if, instead, he was raised by Darth Vader right after he was born?
