Senjutsu has always been a bit of a conundrum to me. It was always said that Hogoromo gave chakra to everyone on earth, and so I assume that means that before him, there was no chakra. And further more, to utilize Sage Mode, you need to have enough chakra to balance with the energy, or you’ll turn to stone. So my question is, how did anyone utilize Sage energy in the past before Hagoromo, as it was shown and stated to exist beforehand? Then I thought about the Ten-Tails and realized that it forms chakra out of nature energy, so perhaps anyone who uses Sage energy automatically gets chakra. Which is interesting to think about and could close a plot hole, if that is a plot hole at all of course. Why am I talking about this? I dunno. This series is about Senjutsu and I couldn’t think of anything else at this moment except for my burning questions about Senjutsu. But anyway, in the previous episode, we came to learn of the prophecy, as well as mankind’s war against nature that occurred 500 years in the past. How man’s industrialization upset the balance and led to a mass reboot of humanity in the form of the villages we know of today. Skip forward to Naruto, we come to realize that he is one of the few survivors from the now decimated Hidden Leaf, and has been living in isolation on Mount Myoboku, ignorant to the effects of the war. That is until Jiraiya spilled the beans without permission. But now that Naruto knows, he can’t do nothing about it. And so, Naruto has made the decision that he’s going to go out with Jiraiya and learn how to fight so that he can possibly end the war between the Toad Sages and Snake Sages.
