A seventh candidate later died, bringing the total to seven.

Nevertheless, AfD leaders—like Alice Weidel and Superstar Elon Musk—have amplified concerns, calling the cluster “statistically almost impossible.” Meanwhile, AfD deputy leader Kay Gottschalk urges caution but acknowledges the immense pressure AfD members face from societal and political ostracism.

But the media and establishment narrative rush to dismiss concerns as “conspiratorial.” That’s a dangerous double standard for a political group already treated like a pariah.
