Aoa! MY name Is Ehsan and welcome to Biology with Ehsan
in this lecture we discussed the differences between Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic protein synthesis in which we focused on what is polycistronic mRNA and monocistronic mrna and also structure of lac operon in details.
lac operon is an important mechanism for lactose metabolism in prokaryotes ( bacteria).

Lecture is the sequel of translation part 1 where The lecture starts with mRNA structure, properties of genetic code especially genetic code redundancy aka degeneracy. Where it is explained how single amino acid can be coded by more than one codon with the help of wobble effect. Now what is wobble hypothesis , is elaborated completely with the help of structure of tRNA. tRNA contain three loops which are D loop, theta loop and anticodon loop. Then in the end structure of ribosomes and how antibiotics target ribosomes prokaryotic ribosomes are explained very well. Don't forget to subscribe Wobble hypothesis also called wobble effect or wobble base pairs is explained thoroughly in hindi and urdu. In this lecture we proceeded ahead and started with activation of amino acids/charging of tRNA. After tRNA activation the process enter in formation of initiation complex phase where mRNA, tRNA and ribosomal subunit combine properly with help of initiation factors to give proper initiation complex. What is the difference between Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic translation is also elaborated completely. After initiation complex the peptide elongation phase starts properly and amino acids are joined according to genetic code following termination phase of protein translation. Steps of protein translation are discussed conceptually in details. Importance of elongation factors and release factor is also exploited thoroughly. Wobble hypothesis explains how single amino acid can be coded by more than one codons or how multiple codons can code for one amino acid, explained with examples #mdcat #neet #biology
