A new series of the types of chemical weapons and how to protect yourself from them.
The first video is on tear gas, mainly focusing on the most widely used of the riot control agents, CS gas. CS gas is not actually a gas but a very fine particulate. Inhalation causes pain, coughing and sneezing, contact with the eyes causes eye irritation and stimulates the tear ducts. Tear gas is a "less lethal" chemical agent meaning it is not intended to kill but people with lung conditions, the elderly and young children are at risk if it is used, in confined spaces it can be particularly deadly.
