You cannot sustain making content that does not make you happy as a creator. You also need to know what makes your viewers happy such that they will want to watch your YouTube videos.
Knowing what content to make comes down to knowing who you are and what your purpose is. It's about knowing your target audience and knowing what winning looks like for you.
Winning cannot be just about getting more subscribers on YouTube. Subscribers should be the result of making great content for people to enjoy, not the REASON you make great content.

They wanted to provide a narrative for their supporters and customers that let them know that they stand out from the crowd. That's why people follow Apple almost like a cult.
For me, winning on YouTube could never be following what many top YouTubers do to become successful. You have to decide what winning means for you.
