Content ID Claims On In-Game Music Explained - Winning On YouTube
You have to remember that in many cases, game copyright holders don't own the copyrights to the music in the games they create.
here we'll explain how content ID claims for music show up in video games.
In most cases, in-game music is composed by professional musicians who either own the rights to all their music or grant their rights to a publisher to help them promote their brand.
Take Madden NFL 16 For example. The Music that plays in that game is owned by NFL Films. As such, if you play that music in your gaming videos, you'll receive a content ID claim from NFL Films or whomever the copyright owner may be.
As a result, if you are planning to upload gaming footage with music, it's best to stick to games with music from copyright owners who allow you to use their music (like C418 does with Minecraft)
