It takes place just 17 months after the solar eclipse of July 2, 2019 and, like the 2019 eclipse, is also visible from Chile and Argentina. It is also a partial solar eclipse in Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.This solar eclipse will occur one lunar year after the annular solar eclipse on December 26, 2019.The path of the eclipse commences in the Pacific Ocean east of the Marquesas Islands, making its way across land in Chile and Argentina, before heading into the Atlantic Ocean. The maximum width of the path of totality is 90 km, and the maximum duration of totality is 2 minutes and 9 seconds, occurring over Argentina.
