286After playing the recent 20/21 season with the Detroit Red Wings and after producing the lowest scoring numbers of his entire 15-year NHL career, Frans Nielsen saw the final season of his 6-year contract bought out and he became an unrestricted free agent under much more dire circumstances than his first time around...
With him receiving little to no interest from any NHL teams in signing him for the current 21/22 season and with no franchise even giving him the chance to prove he still belonged in the show on a PTO, Nielsen decided to take his talents back across the pond to Europe.
