A 1-credit clear of the arcade game Wheels Runner [wheelrun], played with WolfMAME 0.257. Score: 65,700 - cleared an 8-stage loop plus a couple more. At first it just seems like a cheap knock-off of Super Sprint, but after playing it for a while, it reveals itself as a REALLY cheap knock-off of Super Sprint, with CURSED AND HAUNTED hitboxes. Still, the gimmick of courses that switch layout back and forth is kind of neat. After a while you get a sense for whether the bridge will actually be there in a second when you drive across it. The makers, International Games, shamelessly shoehorned their "IG" logo into the victory screen, overhead point-dispensing blimp, and a couple of the stages. This game starts off easy, but stage 8 is really rough - the opponent cars drive effectively, there's very little room to pass them, and it's easy to be tripped up by the track switch. I *barely* beat that yellow car - in fact, it looks like the jank hitboxes may have erred in my favor.
