A 1-credit clear of the arcade game Yuuyu no Quiz de Go! Go! played with WolfMAME 0.257. Japanese title is ゆうゆのクイズでＧＯ！ＧＯ！ and rom name is yuyugogo. Score: 156,100. A short, charming trivia game that doesn't take itself too seriously. Features a couple of very easy mini-games along the way.

Quiz games tend to be a challenge (especially given that my Japanese is rusty). This one was relatively doable because (a) you can choose the category (or GENRE) for each quiz and only need to worry about questions from that category, and (b) most of the categories have only a moderate number of questions (maybe 60 or so) to learn. The anime/manga category seems to have the most questions, probably because the folks making the game included a bunch of anime/manga nerds!

I chose the picture-questions for the first category. For the second I choose game questions: these are mostly questions about video games (with a strong emphasis on Taito) but also board games like The Game of Life and Perfection. For the third I chose music questions: lots of questions about late-80's J-Pop and also bands famous in the US like Pink Floyd or Bananarama. For the last stage I chose questions about Yuuyu (Yukiko Iwai) herself. I didn't know anything about Yuuyu before playing this game, but it's named after her, so why not cram for a quiz about her?
