Admittedly, based on what I'd heard about this particular dungeon -- both from KI and the guide I was using to parse out how much of the game I have left -- I had a gut feeling that this wasn't going to be the end of the stream. KI warned me that the puzzles in this section were a significant change of pace from everything that came before... while the guide literally separated The Black Throne into three parts -- a treatment that no other dungeon in the game received.

That being said, it wasn't as annoying as I was worried it might be. Honestly, part of the reason that Portal was such a fun game in the first place was due to how well the first-person perspective allowed you to control the Portal Gun itself. Fortunately, Darksiders' aiming mode is a reason facsimile, even accounting for the lower precision of an analog stick compared to a mouse.

Having to fight the same mini-boss three times was an interesting choice, though.

Considering the fact that I have to do a scavenger hunt before the final boss, I figure I should be able to wrap things up next time for sure... especially with all the warp points I've already unlocked. Hell, I managed to find one piece before calling it quits tonight anyway. KI doesn't think it'll take too long either... so at least I should be able to wrap up the game in five sessions as originally planned.

Still trying to find a place in my schedule for a third weekly session to finish things up on time.
