Have to admit, I wasn't expecting to knock out two dungeons in one go. KI did warn me that the amount of time between them does get significantly shorter as the game progresses -- to the point where I actually reached the entrance to the game's fifth dungeon before calling it quits this time. That's definitely a good sign for finishing early. KI even says it's possible... but unlikely, considering just how long the next dungeon is supposed to be. Still, it would be pretty sweet to wrap up the game early. Considering how bad my schedule's been this year, I could use all the help I could get. It's to the point where I'm literally considering bumping my number of weekly streams to three, just so I can finish all of these games before Christmas.

But as usual, I'm getting ahead of myself. The third dungeon actually kind of snuck up on me, if only because it was so linear that I couldn't really tell you when the path to it ended... and the dungeon itself began. I'm assuming that the entrance I reached after evading the miniboss when it can kill you in a single hit was the actual start of the dungeon, but who knows? Having to fight a doppleganger that was riding War's horse was pretty dope, though. As were the sections with that demon gun.

I'd originally only intended to just get a head start on the fourth dungeon this time -- maybe quit after I'd gotten the hookshot. But since that ended up being the majority of the dungeon, I just ended up finishing it. KI warned me that the spider boss was pretty much as difficult as Tiamat was. While I ended up beating it on my second try, I still understand what they were getting at. There really is no strategy for the fight with Silitha -- it all boils down to doing damage and dodging her teleports. Granted, the "second phase" was a little anti-climactic: do enough damage and she retreats to the ceiling, where all it takes is a couple of hookshots to finish the fight. It seems like boss fights weren't one of Vigil Games' strong suits.
