This story was written by Mr. Duane N. Carroll, and published in Wonder Stories, January of 1934. For the 1930s, the science in this story isn't actually that bad, although of course we now know that Strutiomimus had feathers and not scales.

The background was a composite between elements of Jurassic World Evolution 2 and Planet Zoo - I think; it might have been Prehistoric Kingdom. You can see the full thing over here:
