Well, I didn't quite finish up this time. Honestly, I had a bit of doubt that I would in the back of my mind the entire time. After all, getting two of the game's four swords didn't really *feel* like a halfway point, truth be told. It would be pretty disappointing if you ended up getting the final sword, just to use it in the final dungeon, right?

Fortunately, my schedule has a little wiggle-room in it and that last stream shouldn't take me so long. September's going to be a big month for beating games though... to the extent where pushing back finishing up Crystalis means that next week's going to have an absolute deluge of games beaten. I've been aiming to beat at least 52 games this year -- and by extension, aiming to knock out at least 4 games per month. In that week alone, I'm expecting to take down *five*... though, granted, three of them probably won't be that impressive. Still, funny how that week's line-up of streams will have an SNK theme to them.

The game seems to be getting a little more generous with its checkpoints. There are also some pretty useful items I managed to get my hands on. The fact that there's actually equipment that prevents you from taking damage from the various poisonous marshes and whatnot is pretty cool. Would've been a lot cooler if I'd gotten them earlier in the game though. Those Opal statues were also pretty neat... but I'm a little disappointed in myself for wasting both of them during that boss rush. But... in all honesty, the fact that the last boss managed to get a killing hit on me right after I defeated him, which ended up eating up my last Opal statue... yeah, I'd rather have taken the L on that one than be forced back to the beginning of that section, that's for sure.

I'm just wondering how short this last stream will end up being though. I always feel a little disappointed when I end up finishing a game before midnight, simply because I usually start around 10:30. That's less than 90 minutes of streaming. On the other hand, considering all the quest-fetching I'll have to do before I actually get to the real final area, maybe it'll take me longer than I think in the first place.
