3Gale is a brilliant Wizard from Waterdeep and a valuable addition to your party. In today’s video guide, I will show you how to find Gale in Baldur’s Gate 3.
To locate Gale, begin at the spot where you recruited Astarion. If you haven’t found Astarion yet, click on the card above to watch our video guide on where to find Astarion in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Continue following the main path. When you encounter a reddish, devastated area, keep moving forward until you reach the outdoors. Instead of turning left, continue straight ahead until you come across the ancient sigil circle, or the purple glowing symbol on the wall to your left.
Interacting with the sigil will cause Gale to extend his hand towards you. At this point, you'll need to pass a skill check to save Gale. Strength is an option for everyone, but there are various checks available depending on your class, so choose the one that suits you best. If you fail two checks, Gale will fall back into the portal, and you'll miss your chance to recruit him, so make sure to save your game beforehand.
After you successfully pull Gale from the sigil, he'll introduce himself and recognize you from the Nautiloid. You then have the option to recruit him. If you decide not to recruit him immediately, he will remain in the same location until you return. However, if you choose to leave Gale, he'll disappear into the portal, just as he would if you failed the skill checks, and you'll miss the opportunity to recruit him.
