Mario Party DS is one of the few Mario Party games that came out on one of Nintendo's handheld consoles. This particular one features Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, Wario and Waluigi as the playable characters. Like many other of the Mario Party games, this one features a Story Mode, which is what we'll be playing here!
One night five Sky Crystals fall down onto earth, one of which lands near Mario. The next day he shows it off to all his friends when suddenly Kamek shows up and give them an invitation to Bowser's Castle. Bowser states that he is sorry for all the trouble he has caused them over the years and would like to apologize by throwing them all a great feast in his castle. When they get there they find out it was a trap (obviously) and Bowser says that he's after the Sky Crystals! He then uses a magical staff know as the Minimizer to shrink Mario and the crew down in size to miniatures, steals Mario's Sky Crystal and has them thrown out. Now they all have to make it back to Bowser's Castle and collect the rest of the Sky Crystals along the way!
