I've been playing World of Warcraft since early 2006, so it's been a part of my life for quite a while. I've decided to make an on-and-off Let's Play of the game, doing one zone at a time to experience the lore and the many stories of this huge MMORPG!
The Razorfen is the area in the southernmost part of the Barrens, located at the edge of the Thousand Needles. It is a sprawling mess of huge, thorny brambles that sprouted from the blood of the Wild God Agamaggan as he fell in the War of the Ancients. The quilboar, as they worship Agamaggan, has made this their sacred lands and taken up recidency here. The Razorfen Downs are one of the most sacred parts of the Razorfen, being the ancient burial grounds of the Quilboars capital. But when Charlga made the deal with the Scourge, this is the part of the Razorfen that they moved into. Lead by Death Speaker Blackthorn the Death's Head Cult of the Quilboar are aiding the undead and are gaining necromantic powers as part of their bargain. Blackthorn is currently trying to revive the Lich Amnennar the Coldbringer from his phylactery by preforming a ritual. The red dragon Koristrasza has gotten word of this and has gone into the downs to stop him, but she needs help with this as Blackthorn has various strong undead guarding him. They all need to be put down before you and Koristrasza can make it to Blackthorn and stop his ritual, or Amenennar will come back!
