The White-rumped Shama, a passerine or perching bird, is indigenous to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. A small bird weighing between 24 g and 40 g and a distinctly long tail with white feathers and as its name suggests, a white rump. The undergrowth of tropical forests, open woodlands and plantations are natural habitats of this bird.
