Nintendoland is to the Wii U what Wii Sports were to the Wii; A launch title that fully utilizes the new controller with all it's new properties! Although Wii U was MUCH less successfull than the Wii, I personaly think that this game is much more entertaining than Wii Sports. What Nintendoland is is a virtual theme park with 12 "attractions" (games), all Nintendo-themed.
Metroid Blast is the Metroid-themed attraction on Nintendo Land. In this game you and your friends are fighting against all kinds of enemies from the Metroid-series, with the player holding the gamepad controlling Samus' spaceship and flying around, while the other players are fighting on foot. Together we must defeat the space pirates, along with Kraid and Ridley! There's also a little bit of a VS mode available where you battle each other!
