Yesterday we saw tons of manipulation, we saw IOUs being given to customers, trading facilities before shares received, a massive amount of volume even though shares available to trade was low, a massive ratio of buys vs sells, SHO rule 201 exemptions being given, FINRA's system crashing for SEC employees and much more.
Why is this really happening though? why is crime being allowed to occur with no repercussions? how bad is this for the shorts?
Originally I thought the AMC squeeze would bankrupt say 5-15 hedge funds, maybe I was underestimating and that number was more like 20-50 hedge funds + some large market makers going bankrupt.
But maybe we've been wrong all along, maybe it'll take out 2-5 major banks (BofA, Credit Suisse, JPM, Goldman), plus hundreds of hedge funds via a domino effect that causes a worse financial crash than the 2008 recession.
Therefore, crime is being allowed to blatantly happen to effectively save the entire of wallstreet? but even wallstreet couldn't be saved from the eventual crash that happened in 2008.
