Why aren't there any Meta Changes in the Wintertide collection event in Apex Legends?

Lots of people were expecting some buffs or nerfs to certain legends during the Wintertide Collection Event in Apex Legends to help fix the boring and broken Apex Meta this season. However, the Wintertide collection event has arrived an alas there are no meta changes, in fact there are no changes to the game at all apart from a $160 dollar skin or a reused mode that we've seen for 3 years in a row. I explain why there aren't any meta changes in Apex Legends right now, not even matchmaking sadly.
