It will then need to be installed on the system

It does so by copying the whole game file
While adding the new game patch to the process

The reason why the ps4 uses this method of 'copying'
Is to prevent file corruption

The speed of the copying process depends on the size of the game

So the larger the game size of the original game

The longer it will take for the ps4 to complete the copying process

Can you speed up the copying process?
You can try installing a faster internal ssd but it won't make that huge of a difference in speed
