Why Does Everyone HATE Mothership Zeta? | Fallout DLC

Fallout 3's fifth and final expansion, Mothership Zeta, remains the black sheep of the award-winning game's post-release cycle. If you want to be generous, you can say it's a fun diversion for a game that has long taken itself too seriously. Still, the general opinion has always been that it's bland, uninspired, and a massive regression compared to the other expansions to Fallout 3. Is it really that bad? Does it deserve the hate it received, to be the punching bag for which every other DLC in the series can say, "At least I'm not Mothership Zeta!" to make itself feel better for not being Old World Blues, the true king of Fallout add-ons? I want to find out. I want to know if Mothership Zeta is underrated and over-hated.
