Why I'll Never Play Dead By Daylight
4I really enjoy watching other people play Dead By Daylight. It's a pressure-cooker game, watching it is kinda like watching the movie 12 Angry Men, which I absolutely adore. But there are several reasons I will never play it myself. Well except to demonstrate why. Anyone over 30 can remember when quick-time events first started to show up in games. When I first saw one I was like "what the hell is this and how does it make the game in any way more fun? Also, I'm really bad at these, please stop putting these in games." But no one listened to me. And to this day, I simply cannot play games that require me to be good at quick-time events. Skill-checks in Dead by Daylight are even worse. Ah, you say, but then I could always play killer. Well, I'm just not one of those people who are natural predators. I like to stick up for the little guy against the big bad. I have no desire whatsoever to BE the big bad. So much so that I can't even really put my head in the right space to be even a semi-decent Dead by Daylight killer. So I guess I'll just keep watching other folks play this game.
