Why is Live Bacteria Floating in Our Atmosphere?
And...we're back. E3 coverage is over- back to your regularly scheduled programming. Today, bacteria was found in our upper atmosphere-- 33,000 feet above ground. The bacteria is alive, despite low temperatures, low oxygen, and high amounts of UV light.
Why did it survive? And what is its purpose? Researchers from Georgia Tech are trying to find out the answers, by hypotheses say the bacteria may help regulate our atmosphere, clouds, and possibly storms. But is it spreading disease?
