Why Need for Speed Payback is Underrated
44Need for Speed Payback gets a bad rap. The microtransactions present in this game seem to come up whenever anyone talks about it - I can admit I often spoke the same way.
Despite this, 5 years later it really doesn't matter. Ignore the microtransactions and there is actually an enjoyable progression system here.
Payback does not have the day/night and cops system that you will find in Need for Speed Heat. But that's actually a positive - you have two different games... they should be different.
Payback is something you can relax and play - just driving in the open world without risk of being chased down by cops.
It's a fun game, enjoy it, and don't think too much about that bad story.
