Nintendo’s Digital marketplace for its systems that allowed users to purchase and download games, as well as other content such as demos, applications, and digital add on s. However, it has been announced that the eShop will be shutting down on both the 3DS and Wii U platforms in 2023, March 27th.

The shutdown of the eShop will be a significant loss, as it was a convenient way to access and purchase games for the Wii U and 3ds. Many popular and classic games were only available through the eShop, and with its shutdown, these games will no longer be accessible to players. There are a few possible reasons for the shutdown of the eShop. One reason could be the declining popularity of the 3DS and Wii U systems.
