It's been since 21 years since Nottingham Forest were last in the Premier Division. Last season they missed out on the playoffs by a single goal after throwing It away by losing 4-1 in the last game.

This failure to return to the Premier League has cost 14 different managers their jobs in the last 10 years despite spending huge sums on talented players. the European cups of the 80s are dr ifting out of the public's consciousness and Nottingham Forest are becoming just another name in the championship.

They nearly got out of the championship in 2016, but in the wrong way. Just like last season they remained in the championship on only goal difference thanks to a final day win starred by talismanic midfielder Chris Cohen. Since then He has retired and new Heroes Have risen to help Forest push up the table.

Last season Matty cash was moved further back from midfield to write back which inspired Forest to be in the playoffs for over 35 matches. Just like many of their Academy prospects he has been sold to fund more established players in the never-ending quest to return to the Premier League.

In recent years Forest have sold Arvin Appiah, Ben Brereton, Matty Cash, Karl Darlow, Jamaal Lascelles, Oliver Burke & Patrick Bamford, who all had over 80 potential when they left Nottingham. This money has mostly been used to pay wages and support the academy rather than making large transfers. Their record transfer was £13m for Joao Carvalho which was redistributed from the Britt Assombalonga £15m transfer to Middlesborough.

Currently Forest have another batch of high potential young players coming through:
Jayden Richardson can play as a wing back on either side
Jake Taylor is a goal scoring centre midfielder
Brennan Johnson is a Welsh international even though he's only 19
Joe Worrall has captained Forest several times and played over 100 games for the reds
Alex mighten looks like he could be future Premier League winger
and they've just bought Loïc Mbe Soh from PSG who will also outgrow the championship eventually.

The club is on an upward swing At the moment with one of the best squads in the league, Stadium development plans and Academy category one status Coming soon. The challenge with Forest is getting the Premier League with such an old squad before you have to sell off some of these young players to fund more old players.

Buying previously owned Talents is something that Forest does frequently. In recent Years they have re-signed Michael Dawson, Andy Reid, Jermaine Jenas and Andy Cole. Lots of their ex players are at lower and Premier League clubs so if Forest managed to get promoted you could ride Newcastle for lascelles and Darlow, Aston Villa from Matty cash, Leeds for Patrick Bamford or Sheffield United for Ben Osborn and Oliver Burke.

The squad is very strong with at least one promotion Ready player in each position. there's a lot of Deadwood in the team to sell off for even more transfer fee money but you'll have an option in each position except possibly wingers. this is often a position where you can spend a lot of money on a fun player so I wouldn't consider this a down side for your career mode. they usually play a4231 defensive counter attack formation with out-balls to Ameobi on the wing, and high press from Sow / Yates / Colback.

Potential Signings Include Portuguese, older premier League players, French Talent and Greek Talent. this is quite a diverse selection for a championship Club but it's what Forest have tended to do over the past 5 or so years. their objectives are fairly easy to complete they have no financial pressure, they are interested in producing young players and they want to get into the Premier League with a squad that's already good enough. have they also have one of the largest budgets in the league so buying up is definitely an option.

They have played in Garibaldi red since their Inception is and it's the kit they won both European Cup wearing. They're awake it is a more Unique blue and yellow hooped shirt that is meant to resemble the waves of the river Trent which the ground sits next to.

overall Forest gives you an interesting challenge of bringing top flight football back to one of England's largest cities Forest also give you multiple ways of achieving this. you can use aging premier League players, create the best Youth Academy, purchase foreign players or a combination of all of these.

if you do decide to use Forest for your career mode please let me know no and I will answer any questions you have about them.
