The primary reason, among many is that Orange Lightsabers blades can only be produced by a specific type of crystal called Kohlen Crystals. Its important to know that these are not real kyber however, and instead are another type of natural formation.
Kohlen crystals share many similarities with kyber crystals, which are used to power traditional lightsabers. Both types of crystals are attuned to the Force, and they appear almost identical at the macro level. However, the key difference between the two lies in their microscopic structure, which renders the Kohlen crystal fundamentally different in nature. Consequently, lightsabers fitted with Kohlen crystals produce orange blades that are less effective at cutting through objects.
The unique properties of the orange lightsabers and the Kohlen crystals that power them became significant when Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his Padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi, were investigating terrorist activity on Pijal and its moon. They found that a group known as the Blackguards had been using the Kohlen crystals to create personal energy shields impervious to conventional lightsabers. Surprisingly, the orange lightsabers powered by Kohlen crystals were capable of slicing through these shields, revealing an unexpected strength in the seemingly weaker blades.
