Solid album that has a lot of potential. This album is combines the Bay Area Mob Sound with that dark Sac Town rap that was popularized and Pioneered by Brotha Lynch Hung & X-Raided. Although he finds a way to make it his own. Very different from what you usually expect from Texas artists. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart or those who don’t like to hear crude content matter in their music. The production is solid as well, which showcases how good his beat selection is. He clearly had a direction he was trying to go and for the most part he’s accomplished it. The pacing of the project was pretty good. Started off kinda dope, then stepped it up toward the middle of the project. Although i felt that it didn’t end on as strong as it should have with that last track to end it off. Another criticism of this project is the mix. I felt that a lot of these songs could have gotten more engineer love. Could have made the songs pop more. Another thing that left a lot to be desired, was his delivery on some songs. It wasn’t bad at all, but he didn’t really switch it up too much. I feel like adding some adlibs to his verses or playing around with different flows for some songs could elevate this project, but didn’t at all take away from the listening experience. The features on this kind of outshined him on a lot of these tracks. Artists, Don’t let rappers cook you on your tracks. Overall, this was a really well put together album with that shows a lot of promise of he continues at it. And this project makes me excited to see his progression as an artists. In rotation.
