The new Star Wars series Tales of the Jedi has retconned pre-existing lore from the Ahsoka novel and more. Star Wars canon was supposed to be a new attempt at a unified story - arguably they started pretty well... even though Star Wars Aftermath was bad, it meshed well with the rest of canon. It's sort of been down hill from there.
