It's been more than a week since the release of Mortal Kombat 11, and within that time the story mode for the game has been quickly devoured. The story mode is a great battle between good and evil that is built upon a myriad of character relationships.

One particularly unique dynamic that cannot really be compared to any of the others within the game is the master / disciple relationship between Sub-Zero and Frost; one that, by the time of the story mode, doesn't exist anymore, as Frost has rebelled against Sub-Zero to work with Kronika.

The contentious relationship reflected in Mortal Kombat 11 reflects what was seen between the two characters in the Midway continuity, and yet we see a totally new way in which the relationship between the two fell apart. Why did Sub-Zero and Frost become enemies?
