Why The Bayformers are Larger Than the Bumblebee Transformers

Why The Bayformers are Larger Than the Bumblebee Transformers. When Michael Bay’s version of the Transformers hit theaters. We couldn’t help but notice that they were extremely big compared to iterations we’ve seen in the past. Apart from Unicron Trilogy Optimus, Bayformers Optimus was the biggest version of the character we had seen at the time. But as we entered the new era of live action Transformers, we noticed that the Bumblebee Transformers were way smaller than the previous continuity’s. Which left us wondering why. Apparently, the Bay films prioritized visually striking, towering Transformers, often using large trucks and construction vehicles as their bases, resulting in significantly taller robots. Conversely, the "Bumblebee" movie opted for smaller, more maneuverable vehicles like a Chevrolet Camaro, leading to a smaller robot form. Another reason is that the Bumblebee movies wanted a more G1 accurate height for the characters. Not only that but their reduced size allowed for a cheaper budget for the studio.
