Wii Metroid Prime: Trilogy G26, 1st Campaign pt20: Wavebuster, Aberrations & the Artifact of Wild.
Now back at Chozo Ruins, I am in a position to check out areas of interest that involve the use of the Super Missile and the newly acquired Spider Ball. I'm not expecting Space Pirate activity. But I'm hoping to find significant items. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Intro and en route to Ruined Shrine.
(4:48) Ruined Shrine.
2 Missile Expansions acquired. These expansions are becoming more crucial as I discover items that provide alternate weapon fire modes that use missiles as ammo, such as the Super Missile and Waveburster.
(7:46) Tower of Light Access and Tower of Light.
Waveburster acquired. The second alternate weapon fire that works in tandem with a weapon, in the case, the Wave Beam, along with Missiles as ammo. It turned out to lash out a current of electrical energy. Short ranged and with high ammo requirements, I expect this one to be very powerful against a tough opponent in a short range encounter.
(27:20) En route to Sun Tower and Sun Chamber.
(33:46) Sun Tower.
Thanks to the Super Missile and Spider Ball, I was able to clear a passage here that allowed me to progress.
(40:51) Aberrations and the Artifact of Wild.
The Phazon continues to affect things, some in supernatural ways. Just when I thought I saw it all with my encounter against Thardus, I found out that element can also effect the souls of the dead? Because that is what I saw happening there.
The Chozo where the people who brought Samus Aran back to health and provided her with tech after the Space Pirate attack on the colony where she was at. Now she's a bounty hunter driver to push them back.
So the idea of having to destroy the souls of the Chozo feels tough. Doesn't seem like there's a way to liberate or cure them from the effects of the Phazon. Taking them out seems thus far, the only viable option.
In this case, their destruction revealed another Chozo Artifact, it seemed they took from it's original location and where protecting. I have been here before. And the artifact was not there previously.
