Switch Starlink: Battle for Atlas DDE G53, 1P gameplay, Armory army expansion & Dr. Hespera Thorn.
For the first time, I begin to help in the construction of installations. They are built over destroyed Imp Hives. Once I learned that, certien aspects in the game became more clear. Vid timeline:
(0:00) Main Campaign. The Call of Hope: Build an Observatory on Vylus.
(5:57) Bile Bombs and hostile fauna.
I finally figured out what these Bile Bombs are. Don't seem to be a hazard unless disturbed. Certien animal species on the other hand...
(9:34) Imp Hive and Observatory build.
(19:43) Main Campaign. The Call of Hope: Build a Refinery on Vylus.
(21:47) Imp Hive and Refinery build.
(26:47) Main Campaign. Rally the Troops: Go and talk to the First Guard Armory.
(28:16) Main Campaign. Rally the Troops: Build your own Armory on Vylus. Go to the Equinox.
As expected, the Armory turned out to be the most expensive of the installations so far. And for a good reason.
There factories produce not only defensive turrets. But combat vehicles too. What's more, during the course of my remaining gameplay here, I began to noticed the range of these vehicles from their respective Armories is quite extensive. Legion Extractors began to fall all over the places.
All these caught me off guard. And I had to adjust my to do list because of that.
Meanwhile, something else is going on. Sage, the Equinox computer keeps detecting and losing track of an unknown vessel. No doubt, the Legion's flagship, The Dreadnought. But the Starlink Team doesn't know that, telling me to head back to the Equinox to fix what could be a malfunction with my ship.
However, before I go, I thought it would be while to...
(38:36) St. Grand's Secrets. Convert Colleague: Reach Dr. Thorn.
Because Dr. Thorn research facility is on this planet, the St. Grand's side Campaign once again became unlocked when I progressed far enough in the Main Campaign.
(43:25) St. Grand's Secrets. Convert Colleague: Talk to Dr. Thorn. Reach the second site.
Something's not right. Dr. Thorn, St. Grand's former colleague, tells us of a way to take out the Legion. But it involves the apparent use of something called the Swarm. This is what Judge is. His species, I understand. The Starlink Team wishes to proceed, despite St. Grand deciding to part ways with Dr. Thorn.
(47:03) St. Grand's Secrets. Convert Colleague: Retrieve the Keystone.
An artifact that apparently harness great power.
