Will I EVER Get Better at This?
5Tally-ho, Internet! "A Relaxing Typing Game" is just that - A game where you can practice typing and try to get better at it. It gives you many different options from Alice in Wonderland to Edgar Alan Poe to ERROR TEXT.
TBH I'm needing a bit of a break from YouTube because whilst I'm incredibly thankful for all of the support I've been getting over the last few months, I need to scale back a bit. YouTube is reaching the point again where I'm struggling to have fun and I think a large part of it is simply because - Let's Play content just isn't big anymore.
So I'm thinking of branching out into Streaming instead, but I don't know. It's all tough. Like over the last 6 months I've gained somewhere in the region of 90 subscribers, and that's amazing, but I still feel like I'm working so hard at something that feels desperate to hold me back. I know that I have so much love to give and on the inside I'm probably a pretty lonely person - It's why I try so hard to get you guys talking in the comments, because other than my Fiancee nothing makes me happier - But clearly my current course just isn't what's going to boost or elevate me. Maybe I can keep doing Let's Play content on the side, but I need to focus on stuff that's going to push me and bring new people in.
I keep saying that YouTube isn't about the numbers, and yeah in an ideal world it wouldn't be - But I don't make videos just so that I can laugh at my own jokes. I make videos because I'm cripplingly afraid of leaving absolutely no legacy behind. Of having never made a difference and of wasting my potential. I'm a mess of neurotypes, a social failure, an edgelord with a hot temper - If I'm not making people smile doing the only thing that I'm hopefully actually good at, what am I really doing with my life?
I didn't intend to unload in the description like this, but I'm just struggling. I want to make content for people and it feels like I can't even do that right.
I'm due a mid-life crisis any day now, honestly this is probably it - I just hope you guys understand.

"A Relaxing Typing Game" is a chill typing game for people who like typing for the sake of typing.
Drawing from public domain stories and poetry such as Edgar Allan Poe, Edward Lear and William Shakespeare, this game allows you to type out classic literature and keep track of your WPM, accuracy and mistakes.
I "finally finished" this for Finally Finish Something Jam. It's been hanging on in a near-finished state for a long time because it was taking too long and 95% of the game was UI programming (which nearly everybody hates, including me).
Consequently I haven't really done as much to this game as I planned - I was going to add more literature and things in the shop like UI packs. If you like it, let me know and I might update it a little in future.
(P.S. I'm trying to sort out a Linux build but my VM doesn't have enough space on it and I am having a hard time allocating more space to it because I don't know how computers work)
