After that he remembered nothing. They had found him still holding her body, silent with grief. The little crannogman, Howland Reed, had taken her hand from his. It made her wonder where Ned had come to rest. The silent sisters had taken his bones north, escorted by Hallis Mollen and a small honor guard. Had Ned ever reached Winterfell, to be interred besides his brother Brandon in the dark crypts beneath the castle? Or did the door slam shut at Moat Cailin before Half and the sisters could pass?
