Associated with wisdom, Neith was believed to have woven the cosmos and brought forth life. As a protector of the dead, she played a role in funerary rituals, guarding Osiris and the deceased. Worshipped in Sais, her dual nature as a warrior and mother goddess symbolised balance. Known as "Mother of the Gods," Neith's influence extended to both earthly and divine realms, embodying creativity and protection. Set, the Egyptian god of chaos, disorder, and destruction, is depicted as a mysterious figure with the head of an unknown animal, often referred to as the "Set animal," which resembles a mixture of a jackal, aardvark, and donkey. He embodies violence, storms, and the forces of nature that disrupt order. Known for murdering his brother Osiris, Set became the antagonist in the myth of Osiris' resurrection, symbolising conflict and strife. Despite his malevolent nature, Set was also revered as a protector of Ra, helping to defend the sun god from the serpent Apep, balancing his destructive and protective roles.
