WilNF plays Elite Dangerous Beyond for PC.

Elite Dangerous, first released in 2014, is a realistic space sim by Frontier Interactive. It is a sequel to the retro PC game Elite, and the third sequel of the Elite franchise. The game's use of actual Newtonian mechanics and physics marks the game as a scientifically realistic space sim. Since its release, it's had four expansions: Horizons, Beyond, and Odyssey, with the most recent released in 2021.

Unfortunately, having not played the game for over a year, and the new UI design changes to the game, my transition back into gameplay wasn't as smooth as I'd hoped. Also, my recording software decided to not record smoothly, so I will upload a second part (part 1) to make up for this sub-par video. Without all the extra discussion and exposition that I've already recorded in this video.

So, I suggest watching this video up to 1:03:33, skipping to 1:24:54 (where it stops skipping), then watch part 1. Or just watch the no-skipping part of this video. Or just part 1. It's up to you.

I really apologize for the choppy video I don't know why it was being laggy (I didn't see that on my recording software).

I figure it's the load on my GPU and the new additions to the game. Although I have a decent GPU, there may be memory leaks from Elite Dangerous that has to do with the ship models in the ship management screen, coupled with the extra load from my recording software, which didn't make a good combination. That's mostly speculation, though. Also, I noticed my hard drive was getting full. So that's a bad combination.
