This is easily one of the best games for the 3DO, period. The game spans four CDs, has excellent video (over three hours worth) and audio quality (for the time), great acting for a game of the time, and features the talents of folks like Mark Hamill and Malcolm McDowell, among others. If every game released for the 3DO was ambitious as this game converted from the PC games, the 3DO may have stood a fighting chance.

Wing Commander III is part of a moderately large series of space flight-sims that I haven't honestly explored in much detail, but having played this one, I wish I had. While I'm not completely foreign to the series, I don't typically play a lot of sim games. In this game, you take control of Colonel Christopher Blair and whomever you choose as your partner and continue your assault against the Kilrathi homeworld. During the course of the game, you meet new characters you can work with and use various different weapons. The game is noted for its humor and general acting, multiple endings, and longevity. This is the introduction of the game that starts from the beginning and ends just before arriving at the "Victory". Enjoy.
