12I wish that I could have made my points a little more fluently but I guess I'm just a better writer than I am a speaker. I understand that everyone has different opinions on this topic, there are extremes on both sides but what we all have to agree upon is that something has to be done. You guys can do your research on countries that have very strict gun laws and you will often find "miraculously" that these countries have a lot less gun crimes than the U.S. The biggest example being Japan but other countries that are not far behind are India, China, Germany etc.
You can do the reasearch on your own, you can see the evidence to back it up, sure there are lots of countries where guns are more scarce that have a higher murder rate than the U.S. but these countries are usually ruled by narco-traffickers or have an unsual amount of cultural violence such as gangs/ethnic groups and most of the murders in these countries are done by the same guns. These countries also have a weaker law enforcement and judicial system, that either lets criminals get away or simply don't enforce much punishment for their crimes allowing them to come back into their society and committ more crimes.
Like I said this is my belief, I hope there are other people out there that share my views, if not these horrible tragedies will keep happening and we will be left scratching our heads everytime instead of actually doing something about it. Some people defend the usage of guns because they view it as a source to create some "future" revolution or something of that nature in the U.S. that would be impossible if there were no guns, but think about it this way, civilians have no shot vs. the U.S. military anyways, this ammendment was passed into law when civilians and the government had horses and muskets and were on equal footing. This isn't 1776 anymore.
Anyways like I said in the video , my heart goes out to the families, I know how hard it is to lose a child and I hope you guys find inner peace whereever that may be.
