Comparing the same microphone either connected to the sound card via a wire, or connected via the wireless 2.4ghz transmitter and receiver. The wireless transmitter converts the sound to 16bit before transmission so the sound appears to sound less rounded and tinny to me.

Components used in this video,

* Clip on Microphone, 3.5mm Lavalier Lapel Condenser Microphone Hypercardioid Mic for Smartphones, PC, Camera : https://amzn.to/3kFVq8n

* Wireless Lavalier Microphone System 2.4G Condenser Microphone with Transmitter and Receiver : https://amzn.to/2TNlrH7

* 3.5mm Mini Jack Mono 2-Pole Female Inline Socket Solder Cable Connector : https://amzn.to/3mx0ZGt

* USB Audio Adapter Plug & Play : https://amzn.to/2TNmWFf

I removed the original mic from the wireless receiver, and replaced it with a female jack, so that I could replace it with the better microphone piece. This also allowed me to connect the same mic directly to the PC using a wire instead of the transmitter/receiver.
On my PC I used a USB Sound card. This is optional but in my case it works better than the onboard sound card.
