Wizordum early access playthrough (v0.6.1.5.1): Episode 2
3Wizordum E2 introduces even more environmental themes while keeping up with the astounding level of detail seen in E1.
We're immediately introduced to forest and cavern biomes with several brand new enemy varieties, before seeing familiar foes from E1 mixed in. E2M2 starts out with hands-down the coolest introduction in the entire game so far. Later we visit dungeons and dilapidated castles, and encounter some interesting new interior designs toward the end of the episode, clearly leading up to the episode's boss fight.
The only thing I might've been a bit disappointed by was that most of the new enemy types introduced early on in E2 seemed to mostly take a backseat in the latter half.
We'll have to wait for episode 3 in the 1.0 release circa March 2025 for the much-anticipated frost biome which has been promised since the epilogue of E1. I'm glad the devs have pushed back the release date from the earlier-stated end-of-2024, since while the game is excellent, there are definitely a few bugs that can get in the way of fully enjoying it. Here's hoping those get fixed for 1.0.
