It took around 3 hours to beat this boss, counting time spent grinding for morale and trying to find the blacksmith again.

This was my first time fucking with the morale system and building it up before a boss. Usually it was low. I was getting one shot killed by the bosses single fireball attack, which was super fast, or his rushing grab. Aside from wearing gear with a higher flame resistance stat, I grinded up my moral to around 22. I did this by fighting the same group of enemies over and over again, resting and repeating. I made sure I had 2 allies with me so they levelled up as well as boosted morale. Parrying seems to speed up morale gain and getting hit decreases it.

With that boosted up I was successful after a try or two on the boss. The main strat was to use the vitality sucking magic on my allies so that they survived longer before needing revivals. I let them do most of the work as I stayed back and tried to parry all the flame attacks to build the boss's stun meter. With my morale boosted up I took way less damage so I was able to be more aggressive and attack the boss directly very frequently. So I didnt have to let the allies do all the work. I also threw out some poison but dont know if it helped much. I used the divine beast move that buffs the team, I believe. The spike attack doesnt do shit to this boss. He seems to avoid it. You can also let the team do most of the work and just revive and buff them while you stay all the way back. Just make sure you can take a fireball hit without being killed. If not then boost morale.

Still cant find the blacksmith again. It wouldve helped to strengthen my weapons. I will have to look more into that. Still unable to summon human helpers, so have been beating all bosses solo or with AI companions.
