Work in progress: Game Tile Inlays
Decided to add some pizzazz to the Drakborgen/Dungeonquest 3D tiles. The sides and bottom will now have decorative inlays. Currently, that means skull decorations on the sides, and a big dragon on the bottom.
This will probably make it all the way to publication, but there are some question marks remaining:
1. I might pick different decorations if I eventually feel the current picks aren't up to snuff.
2. The tiles are supposed to be indistinguishable from the bottom, since they are supposed to lie upside-down and let you pick them at random as you explore the game board. A dragon decoration on the bottom might make individual tiles identifiable in advance - if, for example, a certain tile has been printed with a minor deformation to the dragon, you'll quickly learn to pick that particular tile out of a group.
I'll mull over it for a bit, see if I feel it's an important issue. Currently, I'm leaning towards leaving the dragon decoration in there.
