World of Warcraft: Legion Interview with Patrick Dawson
3During BlizzCon 2016 we got a chance to talk to Patrick Dawson, an engineer for World of Warcraft: Legion. BlizzCon 2016 was an amazing event for fans of Blizzard games. While Blizzard took time to talk about the new announcements for their games, World of Warcraft: Legion was already in full swing. Many people on Blizzard’s team focuses on the flashy entertaining aspects of World of Warcraft, but Patrick and his team are tasked to make sure that the servers can hold all of us adventurers during our quests. During the transition between expansions there is a huge strain on the servers, especially with the incredible increase of players during launch dates. That is when Patrick and his team shines, they are responsible to keep the ship afloat while we all grab our Artifacts and jump into the fray with the Burning Legion. Patrick talks about the exciting adventure World of Warcraft has been for him and his team. We also discussed the past expansion transitions and what him and his team learned to make World of Warcraft: Legion a smooth transition.
