498Today we explore the question of the deal Maruki poses to the player, examine the underlying idea behind what Maruki proposes. Our focus is not on whether or not you should accept his offer in the game (you shouldn't), but if you would accept it in your real life. To do this we talk about the famous thought experiment proposed by Robert Nozick called the Experience Machine, which was popularized by films such as The Matrix.
