I spent afew hours implementing server emulation support for something called GladNet3 which is a library for network emulation: https://github.com/HelloKitty/GladNet3

This video shows a technical demo of this new server emulation feature using World of Warcraft 3.3.5. I've worked extensively on WoW emulation in C#/.NET in a project called FreecraftCore. FreecraftCore is both a client and server emulation project: https://github.com/FreecraftCore/FreecraftCore.Serializer

This GladNet3 networking library works for multtiple games. Not just WoW. It powers the Phantasy Star Online emulation project: https://github.com/HelloKitty/Booma.Proxy
