Q: What does Colonel Sanders, A Black Rastan, Karnov, An Angry Pink Sheep and a weird Chinese Dhalsim Kung Fu Master have in common?
A: This game..

Yes, Believe it or not, this is the actual character roster from a very strange beat em up arcade game developed and published by Data East in 1990 entitled "Trio The Punch".

The game was never released outside of Japan as it was considered to strange for Western tastes. However, in 2007, the game was re-released for the PS2 consoles as part of the Oretachi Gē-sen Zoku game series; a compilation of 80's and 90's Japanese Arcade games. Interesting fact: The Pink Sheep featured as a desperation move for a character from an arcade fighting game called Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty. Weird!.

Players can select from three playable characters: Santos the Street Brawler, Kamakura Kun the Ninja and Rose Sub (!?) the sword fighter (AKA, Black Rastan).

The stages themselves are very short. Usually, you will have to gather a certain number of gold hearts. Once that's done, you will then be thrown into a boss fight. And the boss enemies are strange indeed; From Colonel Sanders, A giant floating fist and leg, A ghost sword, A giant Maneki Neko. Each boss has there own unique attack patterns and are just hilarious (especially Master Chin.... "OUCH").

Here, I alternate between Kamakura Kun and Sub Rose.
(Note; I was almost at the end, until I somehow glitched mysef into the floor ahahaha. I will be uploading the final stages later, as the final boss fight has to be seen to be believed...So much WTF alright).

A Truly WTF game indeed!!

WIN WIN.
